For ear use:
1. Remove the forehead reader, automatically selecting ear mode
2. Fit probe securely in the ear canal
For Forehead use:
1. With the forehead reader on, press the Mode/Memory button to choose "Adult forehead mode" or "Child forehead mode." These are by pictures of an adult head vs a child head.
2. Touch the forehead reader to the center of the forehead
For Touchless Use:
1. Press the Mode/Memory button to choose the house icon
2. Hold the thermometer about 1-3 cm away from the object
**We recommend the child mode setting for children 12 years and under.
